A true masterpiece by Kasimdzhanov! Funny to read Kortchnoi's remark about Kasimdzhanov not being able to play chess after losing in a masterpiece, two years before Rustam becoming world champion.

@thirteen when in February 24th 2022 the Ukrainian civil war escalated and Russia invaded Ukraine there were lots of comments less related to chess and more related to politics. I was part of that discussion and assume some of the responsibility for it, even though I did my best to keep it civil and to not respond to personal attacks and insinuations. Chessbase seemingly decided to restrict the possibility of commenting rather than moderating inappropriate, hateful messages. I guess they considered this to be the best approach to the hate some commenters have thrown towards each-other.

I remember seeing this game annotated shortly after it was played. I knew there was a typical Korchnoi "can't play chess" comment, too.

Very many comment possibilities on here have been withdrawn, Why?
The new World Chess Software Championship Fritz claims, are weak. Whilst I have supported Fritz for many years, as its software is in high regard. The actual playing strength is not of close to the number one chess engine spot. Should doubts be written in reply, I could list the higher chess engine names, but they are probably known anyway. Think Fritz 16.1 dominated Division three!
